Mount Desert Island is known worldwide as a vacation destination, with an iconic shape that is recognized by many. Acadia National Park covers nearly 45% of the island's area and draws over 3 million visitors per year. It is vital that the island's infrastructure be sized for the busy summer season and maintained to avoid costly problems, while still presenting a pleasant view for residents and visitors alike. However, the mountainous topography and rocky soil present challenges in both design and construction, and the short intervals between winter and tourist season make efficient project management and execution vital. We have decades of experience working with the land and have established collaborative relationships with architects, landscapers, and state and local government agencies. We are proud to call Mount Desert Island home, and look forward to working with you on your next project.
